15 Things You Might Not Know About Me
Hey guys, I know this is a bit of a different post but I just fancied a bit of a change.
I thought I’d share with you some facts that you might not necessarily know about me (unless you’re Kane or super close family).
I’ve collated a list of 15 of the most interesting things and I’d really love to know your thoughts.
I’m obsessed with Polar Bears. They’re just so cute and fluffy and yeah, pretty deadly, but they’re my favourite animal of all time and I’m hoping to get a mini tattoo of one soon.
I’m pretty OCD when it comes to cleaning my house. If one thing is out of place or a certain crumb is not hoovered off the floor, I go crazy. I mean, scary lady crazy.
I’m a super emotional person. Most people think I’m this happy, smiley bundle of joy but I can get really upset and I cry an awful lot. This is usually over the smallest, stupidest things but I’m not good with criticism or anything bad.
I had a cyst on my ovary the size of a grapefruit and I had to have an operation last year to get rid of it. So now, I only have one ovary but I still get phantom pains where my right one was. Weird huh?
I’m secretly a HUGE MTV lover. I love a heck load of the shows they make including Ex on the Beach, Snog Marry Avoid US, Catfish and, of course, most of all I absolutely love Geordie Shore.
I have the most varied music taste, I love everything from One Direction to 80s rock to Slipknot to Lady Gaga. I’m a fan of so many music genres and I’ve been to a mixed bunch of gigs.
It takes a whole lot for me to get drunk these days. After going through 3 years of university and a lot of cocktails nights, my tolerance has only grown. Don’t get me wrong, I can get drunk but some nights it can take me a whole bottle of Malibu and some nights it can be 2 bottles of cider, it all depends how I’m feeling.
I find it hard to keep friends for very long. All throughout school and college, I had friends but I went through a lot of different friendship groups and people. I’m unsure why, I think I just bore people and they feel the need to not be friends with me. Don’t get me wrong, I have a good few friends now but I’d rather keep it few and close than a whole load of people I can’t trust.
I had a promise ring from the get go with Kane. Two months after we got together, he bought me a promise ring which I wore right up until he proposed and I took it off. I know, we’re really mushy and cringy but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
My blonde hair is my natural colour. I know it’s not a huge secret but I’m really happy that it’s stayed such a nice, naturally highlighted colour. I always get compliments in the hairdressers about how they CANNOT believe it’s my natural colour. I have dyed it a few wacky colours but only temporarily and I suppose I’m pretty lucky really that I don’t have to worry about dying it every few weeks.
I used to be a size six… For those of you that haven’t known me too long, yeah I used to be a lot thinner. I remember being at school and college and people used to accuse me of being anorexic and I really wasn’t. I have always ate like a pig but only the past two years is when it has finally started to catch up with me. I’m happy with my size now though because I actually have a figure as opposed to the stick I used to look like.
I’m a hopeless romantic. I love celebrating anniversaries, noting down every little thing, having photos of us everywhere, sending cute notes and buying meaningless gifts. Kane’s got it pretty good actually.
I have the strangest taste in clothes. I love band tees and Vans yet I love pretty dresses and heels. It all depends on my mood and what kind of thing I’m attending but I very rarely wear the same outfit twice.
I’m not a huge fan of people playing with my hair or stroking my back to sleep. I find it super irritating and I find it really hard to sleep. I need to be left alone, with space and lots of covers.
I sleep with socks on. Yep, I know, another weird quirk. I’m a huge fan of them big fluffy feet heaters.
So there we are! If there’s anything else you want to know, just ask!
